Azerbaijan elections tainted, say international observers

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan on Sunday (6 November) did not meet international standards, international observers say.

A preliminary statement from the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) released on Tuesday indicates that the Baku vote did not meet a number of OSCE commitments and Council of Europe standards for democratic elections.
