Rehn threatens suspension of Serbia talks

Olli Rehn, the EU's enlargement commissioner, has said that Brussels is close to breaking off talks on closer ties with Serbia, as Bosnian-Serb war crimes suspect Ratko Mladic remains at large.

The commissioner indicated on Thursday (23 February) before the European Parliament’s foreign affairs committee that he will propose to foreign ministers meeting in Brussels on Monday (27 February), a deadline of 5 April for Mr Mladic' capture.
