EU blacklists over 90 unsafe airlines

The European Commission published on Wednesday (22 March) a list of 92 unsafe airlines to be banned from EU airports.

The ban will come into force on 24 March.

Apart from the 92 airlines facing a total ban, another three companies will face some operational restrictions.

"This black list will keep dubious airlines out of Europe. It will also make sure that all airlines operating in Europe's sky meet the highest safety standards," said transport commissioner Jacques Barrot...
