US enters Brussels-Microsoft dispute

The US government has told the EU that it has "substantial concerns" about the way Microsoft is being treated and urged the European Commission and leaders of the bloc’s 25 member states to be fair to the company.

At a meeting between American diplomats and European Union officials earlier this week, a memo with the US government’s concerns was handed over to the European Commission and then circulated to EU embassies, reports the New York Times on Friday.
