EU-US open skies deal set to be delayed

Washington has told Brussels that it is going to delay a move that would allow restrictions on foreign investment in US airlines to be relaxed - the delay is likely to affect an overall liberalising drive to remove barriers to transatlantic air service.

At the moment, foreigners have very little say in the running of US airlines with foreign control limited to 25 percent.
