This WEEK in the European Union

After a few quiet days in the EU capital, this week will see a pick up in pace with EU enlargement, a counter-terrorism strategy as well as the extension of the bloc's borderless area likely to make the biggest headlines.

On Tuesday (6 November), the European Commission will publish a series of critical reports on progress in Turkey and six EU hopeful states in the Western Balkans - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
