A majority of the French support the European Constitution drafted under the leadership of former French president, Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, a poll has shown.
A CSA survey published on Sunday (5 October) by France Info and France 3/France Europe Express showed 54% of the French would approve the Constitution in a referendum.
Some 27% were opposed and 19% undecided.
