The European Commission is kicking off the first of its "plan D" goodwill trips to meet EU citizens, with a trio of VIPs heading to the Czech Republic.
President Jose Manuel Barroso, vice-president Margot Wallstrom and Czech commissioner for social policy Vladimir Spidla will meet Czech leaders and citizens in Prague and Pardubice on Friday (18 November).
The trip is part of the "plan D" project initiated by Mrs Wallstrom, which stands for democracy, dialogue and debate.
