French parliament to examine fiscal treaty on 19 September

The French government will on 19 September present legislation to parliament authorising the ratification of the EU's fiscal discipline treaty, Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said on Wednesday. The treaty, enshrining balanced budgets into national law, has to be ratified by 12 of the 17 euro states to come into force.
