Airlines must compensate strike-affected travellers, EU court rules

The European Court of Justice Thursday ruled airlines responsible for compensating travellers affected by strikes. Flight passengers in the European Union are already entitled to a compensation of up to €600 if affected by overbooking, long delays and cancellations but strikes had not been considered grounds for compensation.
