Russia and Brazil lose EU trade benefits

The EU on Wednesday cut high-income nations like Brazil, Russia and the Gulf states from its list of countries entitled to zero import tariffs. The new list will come into effect on 1 January 2014 and includes poor African countries, but also China, India, Iran and Syria.
