High energy costs push Britons into poverty

The UK government's fuel poverty advisory group says energy costs have pushed an additional 300,000 Britons to the brink of poverty, reports Reuters."The latest round of energy price rises has increased the average annual energy bill by around 7 percent to 1,247 pounds for direct debit customers," said the group.
