Corruption 'biggest threat' to European democracy

Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland Tuesday said that "corruption is the biggest single threat to democracy in Europe today." Speaking to the parliamentary assembly of the human rights body, he noted that "more and more people on our continent are losing faith in the rule of law."
