Greek gambling monopoly ruled partly illegal by EU Court

Greece’s gambling monopoly Opap was Thursday ruled partly illegal by the European Court of Justice, which said Greece could preserve the monopoly only if it had stricter controls to ensure consumer protection. The case was filed by gambling competitors Stanleybet International, William Hill and Sportingbet.
