French police step up Lagarde compensation probe

French police Thursday raided the homes of business tycoon Bernard Tapie as well as Stephane Richard, chief executive of France Telecom and IMF chief Christine Lagarde’s chef de cabinet, during her time as French finance minister. The investigation concerns payment of €430m in state compensation to Bernard Tapie in 2008.
