MEPs suspend airline carbon tax for one year

Euro-deputies on Tuesday voted in favour of exempting intercontinental flights into Europe from having to pay a carbon tax for up to one year. The measure should allow the International Civil Aviation Organisation to come up with an alternative global solution to the controversial tax, say the MEPs.
