Bulgarian mayor resigns after man sets himself on fire

Kiril Yordanov, the mayor of the Bulgarian city of Varna resigned on Wednesday following public pressure after the death of Plamen Goranov, a 36-year-old artist, who set himself on fire and became the symbol of protests against low living standards, reports Reuters. Goranov died of his injuries on Sunday.
