Europol: 3,600 organised crime groups in EU

Europol, the EU policy agency based in the Hague, on Tuesday said they have identified 3,600 organised crime groups in the EU. International drug trafficking remains the most active organised crime activity though new groups are emerging that exploit the current economic crisis "with a business-like focus on maximising profit."
