Russian MPs unanimously pass anti-gay law

A law banning "homosexual propaganda" aimed at under-18s went through Russian parliament by 436 votes versus zero on Tuesday. Fines for pro-gay NGOs will exceed €20,000, while foreigners deemed guilty are to be immediately deported under the bill. The move comes amid a broader crackdown on civil society.
