Former MEP to stand trial on corruption charges

Former Romanian MEP Adrian Severin will stand trial for corruption after he allegedly accepted bribes in exchange for tabling amendments, reports AFP. Severin said, in a set up by Sunday Times, that he would table the amendments in favour of their fictional company for an annual €100,000 fee.
