Greenland votes in favour of mining uranium

Greenland's parliament in a narrow 15-14 vote Thursday decided to end a decades-long prohibition on mining for uranium and rare earths. Environmental groups are worried the mining may threaten the Arctic ecological system. Denmark, as former colonial ruler also has a say, but Copenhagen supports the decision.
