The EU commission will have to pay the remaining 18 years of a lease for its headquarters in Brussels to BNP Paribas Fortis, after the Belgian state sold the building to the Franco-Belgian bank for €640 million, L'Echo reports. The sale will bring Belgium's debt below 100% of GDP.
