Merkel isolated on 'contracts' idea at summit

The bloc of countries opposing German Chancellor Angela Merkel at last week's EU summit has never been larger, reports Le Monde. Even traditional allies were distancing themselves from her proposal to have binding reform contracts, reports the paper. Austrian leader Werner Faymann underlined the importance of countries' "sovereignty."
