EU mulls scrapping 2030 binding renewables targets

The Financial Times newspaper has reported the European Commission is considering scrapping the 2030 binding renewables targets over concerns about high energy costs. The commission is set to present its energy and climate targets on 22 January. The paper says it may include making the targets non-binding.
