EU set to drop binding targets on renewable energy

The EU on Wednesday is set to drop binding 2030 targets on renewable energy, reports the BBC. The UK, Poland, France, and Spain are said to have lobbied to get the binding targets removed from the clean energy policy. The original proposal called for a 24-27% target for renewables.
