Official raises concern on EU 'jihadists' in Syria

The EU's top counter-terrorism official, Gilles de Kerchove, has told French radio some 2,000 EU nationals are currently fighting alongside Islamic radicals in Syria, posing a future security threat if they go back home. He noted the largest numbers come from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
