Barclays and Lloyds dodge EU bonus cap rules

Bailed-out banks Barclays and Lloyds have side-stepped rules on bonus caps by giving each of their bosses over €1 million in shares, reports The Guardian. Other bonus payouts have been given to about 1,000 staff at Barclays and some 75 bankers at Lloyds. Barclays profits fell in 2013.
