Finance ministers try meeting EP half way on banking union

EU finance ministers Tuesday "upgraded" the negotiation mandate ahead of another round of talks Wednesday with the European Parliament on the nascent banking union and the so-called resolution fund for failing banks. Irish finance minister Noonan said he is "optimistic" there would be a deal before end April.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania
