Berlusconi public office ban upheld

Italy's supreme court on Tuesday upheld the ban from public office of former prime minister and convicted fraudster Silvio Berlusconi, reports Reuters. It means Berlusconi, also alleged to have engaged in under-age sex and prostitution, is unlikely to stand as a euro-deputy candidate in the upcoming European Parliament elections.
