UN agency urges EU aid for Italy over refugee burden

The EU should help Italy provide more reception facilities and find "durable solutions" for asylum seekers fleeing war in Africa and the Middle East, the UN's refugee agency said Friday. An estimated 6,000 people have been rescued by Italy's navy in four days and thousands more are set to arrive.
