Romanian turnout up on 2009

Romania has today increased its turnout for the European elections from 27.7% in 2009 to 32.2%. The largest turnout was reported in the south and central south – among the poorest parts of the country. The lowest turnout was in the northwestern rural county, Maramures, and in Bucharest, with 26.9%.
