Land sale referendum in Lithuania fails

A referendum in Lithuania on Sunday to stop land sale to foreigners has failed as turnout was only 14.24%. The ban expired in May, 10 years after Lithuania joined the EU. Farmers and Greens initiated the referendum to keep restrictions over fears of foreign dominance and shale gas fracking.
