Spain set to request €337mn compensation from Russian food ban

Spain is to become the latest EU country to demand compensation for its farmers if, as expected, they are hit by a Russian import ban. Madrid has estimated that agricultural losses will total €337 million, worth 1.8 percent of Spanish exports. It will meet with the European Commission Thursday.
