Russia threatens to close airspace to EU planes

Russian PM Medvedev has told the Vedomosti daily he might ban overflights by EU carriers if it imposes more sanctions: "If there are sanctions related to the energy sector, or further restrictions on Russia's financial sector, we will have to respond asymmetrically ... For example, restrictions in the transport sector".

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
