EU suspends Iran sanctions until July

The EU on Tuesday suspended sanctions on Iran until 30 June 2015 - the new deadline for a nuclear talks deal. Suspended measures include: a ban on insurance of transport of Iranian oil; a ban on trade in precious metals; and a ban on financial transactions below certain financial ceilings.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
