Brussels - Talks at the 9th European Business Summit in Brussels were delayed by a half an hour on the opening day (18 May) by some 170 Greenpease activists that were blocking access to the venue. The activists singled out a number of companies as laggards, because they do not support a 30% emission reduction target for Europe by 2020 compared to 1990 levels. Other companies such as Google, Unilever, Danone, Philips and Allianz were branded as leaders because they have committed to the target.
