Member states could face sanctions over CIA jails

Justice commissioner Franco Frattini has indicated that EU member states hosting secret CIA jails could face sanctions if the allegations are found to be true.

Speaking to journalists in Berlin on Monday (28 November), Mr Frattini said the measures could include "serious consequences, including the suspension of the right to vote in the council [the EU member states decision-making body]."
