Turkish Parliament to revisit Iraq debate

The Turkish Parliament will meet this weekend once again to debate whether to allow large numbers of US troops onto Turkish soil.

Deputies are expected to vote on the issue but a date for this vote has not yet been set. Some reports indicate that it could be mid-week before it takes place.

In a similar vote just two weeks ago, parliamentarians blocked the deployment of 62,000 US troops to southern Turkey.
