Persson hardens grip on Swedish foreign policy

On Friday (3 October), Ms Freivalds, a 61-year old Latvian-born former Justice Minister was surprisingly appointed new foreign minister to replace Anna Lindh, who was fatally stabbed in Stockholm last month.
