OECD: Greeks work more than Germans

The Paris-based economic think tank, the OECD in a labour productivity report out on Tuesday said Greeks worked on average 2,017 hours each in 2010 compared to Germans, who worked 1,408 hours. The results go against the German tabloid cliche that Greek laziness caused the country's crisis.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
