Ireland to hold referendum on 31 May

The Irish government Tuesday said a referendum on the new inter-governmental treaty on fiscal discipline will be held on 31 May. Opinion polls indicate a 'yes', but if Irish voters swing and say no, the country will no longer be eligible for bail-outs funded by the eurozone.
