Celebrities join call to save EU student exchange grants

Ahead of Friday’s EU budget meeting, a group of 100 public figures, footballers and filmmakers have signed an open letter on saving the EU’s student exchange programme, Erasmus. Spanish film maker Pedro Almodovar, Cypriot economist and Nobel laureate Christopher Pissarides and French footballer Lilian Thuram were among the signatories.
