EU ministers 'welcome' French air strikes in Mali

EU foreign ministers on Thursday "welcomed" France's attack on rebel groups in Mali and decided to send in a 450-man-strong EU military training mission under the command of French brigadier-general Francois Lecointre. A "technical team" is to go to Bamako in "the next few days" to prepare for full deployment.
