EU condemns North Korea nuclear test

The EU's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton said on Tuesday that North Korea's latest explosion of a nuclear weapon poses a threat to international stability. "This nuclear test is a further blatant challenge to the global non-proliferation regime," said Ashton. The miniature device was detonated underground.
