Most Latvians oppose euro membership

Sixty-two percent of Latvians oppose switching to the euro, while only 36% are in favour, a survey published on Monday by TNS pollster shows. Latvia is scheduled to adopt the euro on 1 January. A referendum is not mandatory for the move.
