Ministers offer €7.3 billion to plug EU budget hole

EU finance ministers Tuesday agreed to stump up an extra €7.3 billion for the 2013 EU budget. The European Commission tabled an amending budget in April requesting €11 billion to cover budget shortfalls, while MEPs on the Parliament's budget committee have argued that over €17 billion is needed.
