German government postpones fracking law

Germany's ruling coalition has decided to postpone until after autumn elections a draft bill on fracking- a controversial gas extraction method pumping a high-pressured mix of water and chemicals. The Christian-Democrats wanted fracking to be banned for a period of time, while their Liberal allies disagreed, said environment minister Altmeier.
