Faroe Islands take EU to UN tribunal

The Faroe Islands Friday took European Union to the arbitral UN tribunal (UNCLOS) over threats of sanctions in relation to disputed Atlanto-Scandian herring fisheries. The Faroese government wants coastal states, including Russia, Norway and Iceland to discuss joint management of the herring stock at a meeting in September.
