Danes to hold referendum on EU patent court in May

Denmark will decide by referendum on 25 May 2014 whether to join the EU's Unified Patent Court, Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt announced Tuesday. The Danish People's Party and leftist Red-Green Alliance are blocking a constitutional majority of 5/6 in the parliament from approving the bill.
