Gazprom to present anti-trust offer this week: Almunia

Russian energy giant Gazprom will submit its response to EU anti-trust charges this week, Reuters reports. Competition commissioner Joaquin Almunia told reporters Monday that deputy chairman Alexander Medvedev had indicated that Gazprom was willing to settle the case. The EU has accused Gazprom of overcharging east European countries for gas.
